This run is open to the public for individual runners. Medals will also be given to the three finishers of each gender/age group. Trophies are given to the top two female/male finishers. The race starts at Vergason Technology, Inc in Van Etten. To date, we have proudly awarded scholarships to 22 seniors pursuing college, university, and technical school education.Įach Year, the Panther Prowl 5K is run on the 1st Saturday in August. Thanks to the tremendous generosity and continued support from our runners, sponsors and donors, we have raised over $50,000 in scholarship funds.

The Panther Prowl 5K is a charity run/walk event whose purpose is to raise scholarship funds for students in the Spencer Van Etten Central School District. Take photos of you and your friends in your team shirts and share them with us. We will let you know about shirt pick up times the week of the race and, if you are not local, we will mail you a shirt. We will be giving our team members a shirt featuring our mascot Florence “Flo” the Flask. What are the perks of joining The Running Experiments? No running necessary! This is a run/walk event and people of all levels are welcome. You will also be asked if you want to donate, our team has a fundraiser by the same name. Make sure to select this option so that you are counted towards our team. Let’s see if we can make a clean sweep of largest team and most funds raised!ĭuring race registration, you will be asked if you want to join a team and will be able to select “The Running Experiments”.

There is an award for the team that raises the most donations. You can also support our team by making a donating. Yes! You can select the virtual option and run a 5k distance on your own as one of our team members. I can’t be there in person, can I still support the team? There is a prize for largest team – let’s dream big and shoot for as many team members as possible! Īnyone is welcome to join including friends and families.
